Toyota MR2 (Mk1) Wilwood Dynalite 4 pot brake kit

Regular price £507.50 Sale

This kit has been put together as a cost effective performance brake kit for the Toyota MR2 Mk1 (1984-1989) and utilises the high performance, lightweight Wilwood Dynalite caliper which has been tried and tested in every aspect of motorsport.

The kit is supplied with a set of 280mm front discs making this the easiest 4 pot upgrade available on the market. (Please check your disc diameter before ordering, or ask a question below).

The kit comprises of:

1 x pair of new Wilwood Dynalite 4 pot calipers
1 x pair 280mm front discs (plain/grooved/dimpled/drilled finish)
1 x pair of fast road pads (Wilwood BP10 compound or equivalent)
1 x pair of custom fabricated Aluminium brackets
1 x pair of longer front braided hoses
1 x pair of custom spigot rings
All bolts and fittings to fit the kit to your car.

(Colour selection is for disc coating, not caliper colour!)

The kit has been tried and tested on several different types of car both on the road and track and has performed flawlessly.

You can download a printable template here to check if the brake kit will fit behind your current wheels. Spacers may be required for OEM wheels.

Type III Mil-Spec hard anodising replaces Type II black anodising as the standard finish on all base and powder coat finish caliper models. This process produces a thicker, harder surface with a rich, medium-grey appearance.  More importantly, it creates a more durable wear surface in the piston bores, with increased resistance to abrasion and corrosion over the entire external surface of the caliper.

Please note, this brake kit is made to order, so may have a leadtime of approximately 7-10 working days.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • I have a N/A mk1(B) mr2 with the slightly bigger discs because of the facelift. Will these fit?

The kit comes with a new set of discs, so won't matter what you have fitted on the car already

  • If i need to replace the discs, where can I buy new ones?

Replacement discs can be ordered here: https://freakyparts.co.uk/products/renaultsport-clio-172-182-280mm-front-discs

  • Do I need to upgrade the brake master cylinder, for it to work proberly?

This shouldn't be needed. The piston size on the Wilwood calipers should be a very close match to the stock piston area.
