The rear kit utilises the standard 1.8 Mk1 and Mk2 calipers and carriers, and is designed to fit to the later Mk2.5 276mm sport discs

The 25mm larger diameter disc gives a bigger thermal mass to transfer heat and allows for greater brake torque. This translates to a reduction in brake fade and more braking power.

The kit is supplied with:
1x pair rear caliper carrier custom adaptors
Required bolts to fit brackets to car.

The rear 276mm sport discs are available separately.

Please note, this brake kit is made to order, so may have a leadtime of approximately 7-10 working days.

  • Could you run these without touching the fronts or would it upset the balance?

    We would recommend installing these with the front big disc upgrade to retain the brake bias.

  • Would mk1 1.6 calipers work?

    These need to be fitted to 1.8 carriers.

  • what bolts do I need to fit these to the car

    We supply a set of M10x1.25 bolts to mount the adaptors, your existing bolts are also reused

  • Will these fit under 14" wheels?

    You will need an extra 12.5mm on the radius for the 1.8 251mm rear discs or 22mm extra for the 1.6 231mm rear discs.

  • Do you use the standard size pads or can you fit the mk2.5 sport pads?

    The kit utilises the standard 1.8 calipers and carriers, so no need to change the pads. There's also a wider selection of pads available for the standard calipers than the Mk2.5 Sport pads. 

  • Do I need other brake lines than the standard ones for the 231/251 mm rear discs?

    These rear adaptors will work with standard length rear hoses.
