This kit has been designed to completely replace the original front brake setup with a larger Wilwood 4 pot kit.

It has been designed primarily for kit cars based on the MX5 running gear as the calipers are suitable for up to 750kg cars.

The kit comprises of:

1 x pair of new Wilwood Powerlite 4 pot calipers
1 x pair of fast road pads (Wilwood BP10 compound or equivalent)
1 x pair of custom fabricated Aluminium brackets
1 x pair of longer front braided hoses
All bolts and fittings to fit the kit to your car.

(Colour selection is for disc coating, not caliper colour!)

Optional:
1 x pair 270x22mm Sport front discs (plain/grooved/dimpled/drilled for no extra)

The kit has been tried and tested on several different types of car both on the road and track and has performed flawlessly.

Type III Mil-Spec hard anodising replaces Type II black anodising as the standard finish on all base and powder coat finish caliper models. This process produces a thicker, harder surface with a rich, medium-grey appearance.  More importantly, it creates a more durable wear surface in the piston bores, with increased resistance to abrasion and corrosion over the entire external surface of the caliper.

  • Those calipers fit with g60 discs 280mm?

    No. The adaptors are designed for the 270mm disc which also has a different offset.

  • I have 15x8 et20 wheels, will these calipers fit behind those without spacers? Thank you.

    You will need around 50mm of clearance from the face of the disc to the back of the spokes.

  • Hi, I would like to know if this kit would fit under my 14" Watanabes. The size is 14x6.5 ET14.5. Thanks in advance

    If your wheels clear the Sport calipers, you will need around 20mm extra clearance from caliper to spoke for these to clear.

  • Are these kits not suitable for cars that are over 750kg?

    They can be fitted to heavier cars but as they use a smaller pad it will wear faster

  • Hi will these also fit the mx5 mk2.5

    Yes, these will fit directly onto the Mk2.5 with 270mm front discs. 

  • Hello I guessing the reason the kit costs so much without the disks (459.000) is because of the custom machined mounts for the calipers as the callipers can be brought from new at 150, If I knew the dimensions I would machine up my own ones. Or could I be able to purchase the aluminium custom mounts on there own.

  • Will These fit under 14 inch wheels (with spacers if necessary)?

    Yes, this kit should fit behind 14" wheels. Spacers will probably be needed as the calipers will stick out approximately 40mm from the face of the disc. We can supply spacers if required. 

  • Can you use smaller diameter rotors ?

    We can supply the adaptors to fit the 256mm front discs for no extra cost. Just add to the notes you require the adaptors for this disc diameter.
