We provide a fitting template with most of our kits, the link is in the product description.
The purpose of the template is so you can check wheel clearance if you fitted the kit to your car, and allow you to work out how thick a spacer would be to clear the spokes on your wheels.
It's pretty straight forward to use the template:
- Print out the template 1:1 or actual size. There is a handy "50mm Check Measurement" on the template. This should measure 50mm.
- In true Blue Peter Style, stick the template to some cardboard. Maybe use the back of a cereal box, but make sure it's empty before you start!
- Cut out around the outline. You could give yourself a few mm of clearance here if you like.
- Take a wheel off the car and slot the template behind the wheel as if it were a caliper and disc.
- If the template touches, move it away until it clears, then measure how far from the spokes you needed to move the template away to clear - this is how thick the wheel spacer will need to be.
The below picture explains this process.
